Background: Emmett McCarty was changed into a vampire by Carlisle Cullen in 1935, two years after Rosalie Hale had been changed. When Rosalie came across him, Emmett was being mauled by a bear in the mountains of Tennessee. He had nearly died from the attack, but Rosalie saved him and carried him over a hundred miles back to Carlisle. Rosalie was noted as saying that it took nearly all her strength not to kill him. She also said that she brought him to Carlisle so that he, with his stronger endurance of human blood, could save Emmett. Emmett describes this experience as "being saved by an angel who brought him to God". Once Rosalie returned to Carlisle with Emmett, he was changed into a vampire. In Eclipse, Rosalie confesses to Bella that she saved Emmett from sure death because his innocence, dimples, and curly hair reminded her of her best friend Vera's child, Henry.

After his painful transformation, Rosalie and Carlisle explained to Emmett that he was a vampire. This did not upset him, however, like Rosalie and Carlisle had thought it would. He put in his own words, "But if Carlisle and Rosalie, my angel, were vampires, how bad could it be?" He did, however, initially have trouble adjusting to the Cullens' rule of only feeding on animals, and has tasted human blood on several occasions.

Emmett is described as being very tall, very burly, and to the students at Forks High School, very intimidating. Jessica Stanley refers to him as, "The big dark-haired one." Standing at 6'5", he is the tallest of the Cullens, towering over Alice by a few feet. His strength gives him a rather filled out form, but he is not regarded as being overweight, just rather muscular. His height helps spread out his weight. He has a round face with dimples and slightly curly, dark brown hair, giving him a childish look. He is the strongest of the Cullens. Like the rest of his family, he has pale skin and golden eyes that darken as he becomes more thirsty. His closet consists of jeans, T-shirts, and jackets; the jackets are rarely used, as he does not even register that the air is cold. Because of his height, his pants drag on the floor when on the hanger. He wears flat skate shoes that are just as casual as the rest of his closet.

As a result of Emmett being a vampire, he has many enhanced abilities such as superhuman speed and incredible strength. Unlike other members of the Cullen family, he does not have any special abilities, but his enhanced physical strength is more than enough. Emmett is also immortal and is the second youngest vampire in the Cullen family, which is why the scent of human blood is sometimes harder for him to resist.

Personality: Emmett tries to lighten up tense situations with his sense of humor, and he enjoys making fun of people. He appears to be thoughtless and makes brash decisions. He is also brave and enjoys fighting. Emmett was upset in Twilight that he wouldn't be going with Bella, until she pointed out that he would have a better chance to fight James if he went with Edward. In New Moon he thought it would be a good idea to turn Bella into a vampire, and expressed a desire to "pick a fight" with Demetri. He was also looking forward to the fight with the newborns in Eclipse, and the fight with the Volturi in Breaking Dawn.

While Emmett may appear to be brash and thoughtless with comments, he really does care about his family -- and has included Bella in that caring from before she became a vampire. He has even gone as far as to tell Edward that she's like his little sister already.

He doesn't like people messing with those he loves -- and messing with Rosalie can cause you to have to face off with a very angry and protective Emmett. When it looked like they would all be killed by the Volturi in Breaking Dawn, Emmett didn't even think of backing down. He would have died for his family -- and take some of the Volturi with him.

Game Specific Info
What sort of room would you like your character to have in the hotel? (Single, double, triple, four in a room): A single room for now. That will probably change to a double if we get Rosalie.

What brings your character to the village? What does he need to learn/achieve, etc?: Emmett arrives in the village mainly because his family is there. I would say that he's there to learn to be more tactful... but that really would take a miracle of epic proportions.

Does your character have any skills that might be utilised in the village?: Emmett is very, very strong and often serves as the "jack" when Rosalie is working on the cars.

What is your character going to do in the village?: Emmett's main interests are Rosalie, family, sports, fighting and wrestling. Anything that lets him encompass any of those likes -- and he'll be trying to it.

Do you want your character to have a job? If so, what?: I'm not sure yet. There are a few things I would like him to try out and I need to contact the people who own a few businesses in the village to ask. :)

100 words on why you want to play this character: I've never really played a snarky smartass character before. And I've only played a male character once in another game. I'm wanting to stretch myself in gaming and writing by trying things I have never done before. I also feel that Emmett really doesn't get enough love in places even though he is such an awesomely fun character -- well, in my own opinion, any way. He has traits that they didn't spend enough time in the books showing and I would like to try that out.

Point In Canon: I'm not sure where in canon I'm bringing him in from as I would like to talk to the person who put Rosalie on reserve to see what they want to do. I was thinking of bringing him in from Breaking Dawn where he and Rosalie are out gathering other vampires to give witness on the Cullen family's behalf.
